15TH JUNE 2022

To celebrate the start of the project (30.05.2022) a kick-off meeting was held on 15^th June 2022 at the Botanic Garden “Selva di Gallignano”, Università Politecnica delle Marche, Ancona (Italy). Principal Investigators (PI) and research team members of the SEA FENNEL4MED Consortium met, in a dual mode (presence and distance).

The agenda of the meeting included flash presentation of SEAFENNEL4MED partners and their role into the project, seats assignation in the project management bodies, presentation of the project logo, website and press release, and discussion of specific aspects related to the techno-scientific work packages, and especially WP3 (dealing with sampling of Mediterranean and Atlantic sea fennel populations) and WP4 (focused on production of organic sea fennel crops). 

At the end of the kickoff meeting, the attendants at the kickoff meeting enjoyed a promenade within the natural areas of the Botanic Garden, under the guide of the Director of the Botanic Garden, prof. Simona Casavecchia.
